Background
DJI required a video to introduce the Avinox electric power-assisted system, and, there was no budget allocated for it.
In fact, the requester had applied for a budget to engage an external supplier for production, but there was an issue during the briefing of the requirements, which led to the project being unable to move forward.
I was called upon to step in and assist.
Responsibilities
As the Director and CG Supervisor, I am responsible for the following tasks:
- Editing using footage from the AMFLOW bike intro project;
- Creating storyboard and screenshots for CG animations using C4D, and supervise CG animators;
- Compositing rendered frames in AE, designing visual effects with rendered EXR channels, and tracking text and effects in AE using camera data exported from C4D;
- Recording voiceovers in both Chinese and English;
- Editing the final video in DaVinci Resolve and completing color grading and audio mixing.
